ISLAMABAD: Cold Wave Alerts Across Pakistan, the Meteorological Department has issued an important weather forecast, saying that the weather is likely to be cold in most parts of the country while the weather is likely to be partly cloudy.
Rain and snowfall are also expected in some cities, including the upper and northern areas, which may further increase the intensity of the cold.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the federal capital, Islamabad, will be cold and partly cloudy. The weather is likely to be cold and dry in most plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the weather may be extremely cold in the upper districts of the province. Light rain and snowfall have been predicted in Chitral, Dir, Kalam, Swat and Waziristan.
The weather is expected to be cold and dry in most districts of Punjab, however, light rain and snowfall may occur in Murree and Galiyat. The weather is likely to be partly cloudy in the areas of central Punjab, while light drizzle may occur in Multan, Jhang, Sargodha and Faisalabad, which will make the weather more pleasant.
In addition, the weather has been predicted to remain cold and dry in most parts of Sindh. The weather in Balochistan will also remain cold and dry overall, however, light rain and snowfall at some places have been predicted in Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin and Gwadar.
The Meteorological Department has advised citizens to take precautionary measures in view of the cold weather, especially those traveling to the upper areas to be aware of the weather conditions so as to avoid any possible problems.
