ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Weather Update, the Meteorological Department has announced the end of the dry season and the promise of rains.
According to the Meteorological Department, a westerly wind system will enter Punjab from January 16 to 19. Rain and snowfall are expected in Islamabad, Murree Galiat and other areas from January 20 to 23.
In addition, rain is expected in Lahore, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Multan, Faisalabad, Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur divisions. Rain and snowfall are expected in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan on January 23.
On the other hand, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert of heavy snowfall in the northern areas from January 16 to 22.
In addition, the Disaster Management Authority Emergency Center in Gilgit-Baltistan has issued an alert of more severe cold and said that the public should take precautionary measures in cold, snowfall and rain.
